Green Door

Drew this up over the past couple of days. I imagined this as an untold tale set during the Hulk's Crossroads era, where the Hulk seemingly comes face to face with his past... courtesy of a strange Green Door (familiar to those of you reading Al Ewing and Joe Bennett's insanely good IMMORTAL HULK series)!

I would love to do this story someday!

Green and Grey

Here are the colours for my recent "Swamp Hulk" artwork. I've done two versions... one with Hulk and his famously known green skin, and the other featuring his original, grey hue. While the green is how he appeared in the Incredible Hulk #2, I feel the Grey Hulk would be perfectly suited to this horror-style swamp scene!

"Hulk Green!"

"Hulk Grey!"

Marvel Cinematic Universe - Grey Hulk, the Thing and Death's Head

"Kevin Feige? Call my
agent, yes?"
Here are some digital imaginings that I have produced on Photoshop, featuring some characters that I would love to see in Marvel's movies... including the grey incarnation of the Hulk, the ever lovin' blue-eyed Thing from the Fantastic Four and Marvel UK's legendary Bounty Hun-- I mean Freelance Peacekeeping Agent, Death's Head (whom I know a lot of fans would love to see appear on the big screen... the Guardians of the Galaxy section of the MCU would be a perfect place for him to show up!). These images depict how I imagine these characters would look like if they were ever to appear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe... Hope you like them!

Death's Head - I can actually imagine the
legendary Tom Baker providing the voice!

I wonder if we'll ever see Mark Ruffalo's Bruce
Banner turn into the Grey Hulk...

Maybe one day we'll see this on the big screen... for me,  it would be the
ultimate Marvel movie moment!

McFarlane Grey Hulk

I found a turn-around style guide of the Grey Hulk drawn by Todd McFarlane (who along with writer Peter David, took the Hulk in a new and exciting direction in the late 1980s). I've always been fascinated by Todd's version of the Hulk. It was such a departure from any other version seen before due to his unique style, and far from the traditional classic style Hulk that I loved, as drawn by (in my opinion) definitive Hulk artist Sal Buscema... and yet, I loved it! His Hulk captured the nasty, dark side of the character perfectly. This definitely wasn't the old Green Hulk that loved puppy dogs, Bambi, and baked beans!
Anyway, I decided to practice my digital inking last night... and this is what I come up with. Despite our styles being worlds apart, it was fun inking this! I hope you like it.

Inked using Manga Studio 4, and coloured in Photoshop.
Todd's original artwork. Love this version of the Grey Hulk!
A previous attempt at inking Todd's artwork. You can read more about that here.
